The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared fitness updates of Team India players, who have been out due to injuries on Friday, July 21 through a press release. The Indian team has been struggling with injuries to key players, such as the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer and others.
Jasprit Bumrah has been out with injury since September 2022 and has missed a plethora of important tournaments and series since then. He underwent surgery for his lower-back injury earlier this year. He is in the final stage of rehab and bowling in the nets. Meanwhile, injured pacer Prasidh Krishna, who suffered a stress fracture last year, has also started bowling. The duo will play a few practice games, before returning to action.
“The two fast bowlers are in the final stages of their rehab and are bowling with full intensity in the nets. The duo will now play some practice games, which the NCA will organise. The BCCI Medical Team is pleased with their progress and will make a final decision after assessing them following the practice games,” wrote the BCCI.
