Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah gave something to cheer for the Indian fans removing well-set Dominic Sibley to end the day’s proceedings. Prior to that, Sibley frustrated the Indian bowlers with a timely knock of 83 runs and shared a crucial third-wicket partnership to put England on top in the opening Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

England made an outstanding start putting on a 50+ run partnership for the first wicket after opting to bat first. But India came back right at the stroke of lunch with two quick wickets to have England at 63 for two which brought Joe Root in the middle and since then, he has been spot on with the bat.

He and Dominic Sibley built a crucial partnership to bring the visitors back in the game keeping the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin. Both brought their individual half-centuries before Joe Root cruised through to his century in his 100th Test match as England cruised through for a big total.

Jasprit Bumrah caught Siblye by surprise as he produced a fiery yorker out of nowhere in the last over of the day’s play. The ball cannons into his front pad as his head fall over after a tiring day of play in Chennai.

Dominic Sibley went for the review but it seems to be just for the sake of it. Definitely, there was no bat, it hits the front pad on the full and it’s crashed into leg stump. Heartbreak for the England opener who looks crestfallen after fighting so hard through the day as England walked back for 263 for three at the end of day 1.
