Young Indian opener Jemimah Rodrigues was left out of India’s 15-member squad for the ODI World Cup in New Zealand. Jemimah has been an integral part of the Indian women’s cricket team and to not see her name even in the list of standby players for the mega-event, was a huge surprise for many fans and cricket experts.

The 21-year old will now be seen competing in a hockey tournament in Mumbai. She will take part in the Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana Rink Tournament, for the Uncles Kitchen United Sports team. The tournament will begin on February 11 and run until February 16.

Rink hockey is a type of hockey played with wheeled skates, on a dry surface. It would be thrilling for spectators to witness a brilliant cricketer now demonstrating her prowess in a different sport.

She has also represented her school in inter-school hockey leagues on several occasions. Jemimah is well-known in the sport for her incredible dribbling abilities.
