Rob Lewis’s 10 Month Wait Comes To An End

Even though the series is being played without any spectators at the ground, Rob got special permission to be present in the stadium for 30 minutes prior to the start of the Test just to get a glimpse of the England players. But as soon as the time was over, Rob was asked to leave the venue as his dream to watch his countrymen could not be fulfilled.

“I am very frustrated. I waited 10 months to watch this match and the police have kicked me out. At least I managed to sing ‘Jerusalem’,” Lewis had said.

Despite being asked to leave the stadium premises, Rob wanted to get a glimpse of his countrymen which is when he managed to reach another area of a fort near the ground from where he got a view of the happenings inside the stadium.

“Back on the Fort because I work here now,” he said on Twitter without giving an explanation

Further more when Joe Root reached the milestone double century mark, Joe Root acknowledged Rob Lewis’s passion by waving the bat towards him who was on top of a fort cheering for Root all way along.
