South Africa’s star batsman JP Duminy will miss the limited over series against Australia and also the Manzi Super League T20 tournament. It is a big blow for South African cricket team as they will be without their star players Hashim Amla and now JP Duminy.

South Africa will face Australia in a 3 match One-day international series and one-off T20 internationals starting from 4^th November. JP Duminy has announced the key player for Cape Town Blitz in MSL and will be replaced by Quinton de Kock.

“JP aggravated a pre-existing shoulder injury during the recently-concluded series against Zimbabwe,” South Africa team manager Dr Mohammed Moosajee said. “The injury will require surgical management, thus ruling him out of the immediate tour of Australia and the upcoming MSL. At the moment, we can”t say how long he will be out for, that is dependent on the results from the surgery.”

South Africa whitewashed Zimbabwe in the 3 match One-day international series and then took the T20I series 2-0. The squad for the ODI series and one T20I match will be announced later this week. It is a massive blow for the South African team to go without their star players.

With AB de Villiers retired from international, JP Duminy will be their key player in the 2019 World Cup to be played in England. The left-handed batsman has the experience of playing 192 One day international matches, 78 T20I and 46 test matches.

JP Duminy decided to retire from test cricket last year to focus on World Cup 2019. The Manzi Super League to be held in South Africa will start from November 16^th and will finish on 16^th December.

Quinton de Kock will be the star player for Cape Town Blitz. JP Duminy loss will be a major blow for the South Africans. The Australian tour starts with a warm match up against Prime Minister XI on 31^st October which will be followed by 3 One day internationals on 4^th November at Perth, 2^nd ODI on 9^th at Adelaide and the final ODI at 11^th November at Hobart. The lone T20I will be played at Queensland on 17^th.
