Kamran Akmal Reveals The Name Of His Favourite IPL Team

Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the most coveted franchise-based leagues across the globe. Players from all parts of the world aspire to feature in the cash-rich league. Although Pakistan cricketers are banned from taking part in the competition, they follow the league keenly. Recently, veteran wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal has revealed his favourite IPL team. 

Due to poor relation with Pakistan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has banned cricketers from their country to take part in the tournament. They only featured in the first edition of the tournament in 2008. Kamran Akmal, who has been a part of IPL has now named his favourite team in the competition. Notably, Akmal was a part of the 2008 IPL finals, where Rajasthan Royals defeated the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings.

Taking part in a question-answer session with his fans and followers on social media site Twitter, Akmal spoke on various issues including his favourite IPL franchises. The veteran Pakistan cricketer was quick to name Chennai Super Kings. The Super Kings are the second most successful team in IPL after Mumbai Indians with three titles to their name. 

Meanwhile, Kamran Akmal is in the form of his life. After shinning in the Quaid-e-Azam trophy, Even in the shortest format- PSL, Kamran Akmal has amassed 906 runs from 11 games at a staggering average of 60.40. He recently slammed the selectors after they snubbed him from the T20Is against Bangladesh.
