Following their triumphant IPL 2024 campaign, which concluded with a title victory, defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are set to make history with a groundbreaking Trophy Tour. KKR will tour nationwide with the trophy, celebrating with fans across cities.
For the first time ever, an IPL franchise is taking its Trophy Tour beyond its home city. This initiative aims to bring KKR supporters closer to the team’s success, offering them a chance to interact with the trophy and celebrate the achievement firsthand.
The extensive tour, ahead of IPL 2025, will span nine cities, beginning in Guwahati on February 14 and culminating in Kolkata on March 12 & 16. The route includes stops in Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Gangtok, Siliguri, Patna, Durgapur, and Kolkata.
Through this initiative, KKR hopes to create lasting memories for their loyal fanbase, recognizing their unwavering support over the years. By inviting fans to be part of the celebrations, the franchise aims to strengthen its bond with supporters, allowing them to experience the trophy up close and cherish the victory with the Knight Riders family.
As part of this unique celebration, fans can engage in thrilling cricket-themed games like Cricket Rock Paper Scissors and Cricket Pong. Every visitor will have the opportunity to win exciting prizes and exclusive KKR merchandise, adding to the excitement and making their trophy viewing experience truly unforgettable.
Binda Dey, Group CMO, Knight Riders Sports, said, “We are very excited to bring the Trophy Tour to our fans in Eastern India. Due to some unavoidable reasons, we couldn’t do a victory march in Kolkata after the title win last season.”
“For us, our fans are like family. They have showered KKR with immense love, in good times and bad. This tour is our attempt at bringing back to the fans, the trophy our players had won through their constant love and support last season.”
