Kolkata Knight Riders Appoint James Foster As Fielding Coach

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders have appointed former England wicket-keeper James Foster as their fielding coach for the upcoming season. Foster has represented England in seven Test matches, 11 ODIs and five T20Is between 2001 and 2009.

Foster will take over from former Assam cricketer Subhadeep Ghosh, who was part of the 2019 setup. This the latest addition to the Knight Rider’s support staff after Brendon McCullum was announced the head coach after the departure of Jacques Kallis. Meanwhile, James Foster has been involved with coaching ever since he retired from all forms of cricket in 2018.

The former Englishman has worked as a batting consultant with Glamorgan. He has also been involved with Sydney Thunder in Big Bash League, Khulna Titans in the Bangladesh Premier League, England and England Lions. James Foster’s aim will be to maintain a qualify fielding standard in the most popular franchise-based league in the world.

Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders will hope to improve their effort in the upcoming season of IPL. They have made some changes to the squad to acquire the required balance for the 13th IPL which commences from March 29.
