Kuldeep Yadav was seen hiding the scoreboard after losing to Yuzvendra Chahal and Surya Kumar Yadav in ludo while travelling to Raipur ahead of the 2nd One-day international match against New Zealand to be played on 21 January.

Chahal shared the story on Instagram on 21 January, revealing the results of the game as Kuldeep Yadav appeared to be the loser of the game. The first One-day international between India and New Zealand was a high-scoring affair played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on 18 January 2023.

Thanks to Shubman Gill’s brilliant 208 off 149 balls, India posted a mammoth total of 349 for 8 in 50 overs. In reply, New Zealand looked down and out with 131 for 6 before Bracewell and Santer put on 162 runs for the 7th wicket. Bracewell put on an excellent display of batting being dismissed for 140 in the last over. India won the match by just 12 runs as they bowled out New Zealand on 337.

Kuldeep Yadav bowled decently as he picked up 2 wickets getting rid of Henry Nicholls and Daryl Mitchell. Mohammed Siraj was the pick of bowlers for India with 4 for 46 in 10 overs with 2 wickets in the same over changing the momentum of the game.

Yuzvendra Chahal did not get a chance the playing XI for the opening match of the series. Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar were the spin bowling options that the Indian team went with. Washington Sundar went for runs as Santer and Bracewell did not allow them to settle.

Chahal has been struggling for form in recent times. He was seen in action during the first One-day international against Sri Lanka. The leg spinner gave away 58 runs and grabbed only 1 wicket in Guhwati. He was replaced by Kuldeep Yadav due to a shoulder injury. Kuldeep Yadav performed brilliantly with 3 wickets for 51 runs in 2nd ODI in Kolkata and followed by 2 wickets in the 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka.

Both teams will face off in the 2nd One-day international match to be played at Shaheed Veer Narayan Stadium, Raipur. This will be the first ODI fixture in Raipur and hoping to see another high-scoring thrilling encounter.
