India’s chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav is enjoying his time off the cricket field. He recently played in the limited-over series against Sri Lanka.
The spinner posted a series of pictures on his Instagram account on Wednesday, in which he was playing tennis. He captioned the post as:
“Picking up some good habits from @anant_arora1. #tennisanyone 🎾”

Kuldeep Yadav has represented India in all formats at the International level. He has picked 41 wickets in 22 T20 Internationals at an average of 14.22. Kuldeep also has a fine record in the one-dayers and test matches. The chinaman spinner had a decent outing in the series against Sri Lanka. He picked up four wickets – two each in one-day internationals and T20 internationals.
“If I perform, I know I’ll definitely be back” – Kuldeep Yadav
Kuldeep has been struggling to be a regular in the Indian limited-overs team. He also did not find a spot in Kolkata Knight Riders playing XI, in the Indian Premier League, before the tournament was suspended mid-way. With the T20 World Cup in sight, the 26-year old stressed that he is not thinking about the tournament but believes he will be back if he performs consistently.
“Nothing parallels performance, and if I perform, I know I’ll definitely be back. And honestly, I’m not thinking much about a T20 World Cup berth now because it eventually boils down to how well I keep doing. There’s healthy competition in the squad, so I know what my job is,” Kuldeep said recently.
Kuldeep Yadav’s performance in the second phase of the Indian Premier League 2021 will hold key to his chances of securing a berth in the Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup.
