The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on July 25 (Sunday) announced the schedule of the second half of IPL 2021. The two-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will begin their campaign against Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore on September 20 at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The Eoin Morgan-led Kolkata side will begin their UAE stint on the worst possible note. They find themselves in the seventh spot with only four points from seven matches before BCCI postponed IPL 2021 midway due to the COVID crisis in the country.
The mission finally has a date of resumption 👊🏽

Kolkata Knight Riders under their head coach Brendon McCullum will have to come up with a different brand of cricket to aim for a top-four finish in IPL. However, they will miss the service of their premier fast bowler Pat Cummins and can also miss their captain Eoin Morgan.
The last time they played in the UAE, Kolkata Knight Riders missed the qualification by a whisker after finishing fifth in the points table. They will certainly look to better their result and aim to qualify for the playoffs.
