The scenes of the World Cup 2019 final are still fresh in the minds of a lot of cricket enthusiasts. The runout that costed the title for the kiwis is still hurting the fans as by all means they weren”t supposed to be the runners-up after giving so much on the field.

Martin Guptill”s reaction right after that dismissal has left a lot of spectators in tears and fans took a dig against ICC rules for taking into account the boundary count.

Guptill was on the knees and as a gesture of sportsmanship, Chris Woakes was seen consoling the former. However, there”s a lost now from his beloved wife Laura Goldrick.

In her latest Instagram post, Laura was seen praising Guptill and mates for their efforts on the field. She posted that is nothing more proud than her husband giving his best in the field and she will always remember what he has done for the side.

Laura McGoldrick is a media professional in New Zealand and there were several instances where she was seen interviewing Martin in post-match presentations. This post would certainly lessen the burden Guptill has been carrying in his heart and the Blackcaps side too.

Guptill hasn”t been at his brutal best in this World Cup with the bat. However, his efforts on the field will always be one to remember as he is next to Jadeja on saving a lot of runs on the field.
