Michael Bevan Names The Game Changer For Team India In 2nd Test

Former Australia player Michael Bevan has backed Ravindra Jadeja to be the game-changer for India in the following matches in the test series after India’s dreadful loss at the Adelaide Oval after getting bundled out for a mere 36 on Day 3.

Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out of the T20 series after suffering a concussion in the 1st T20 against Australia in Canberra. Jadeja was then replaced by Shardul Thakur in the T20 squad after a solid show with the ball in the 3rd ODI. Michael Bevan believes that the inclusion of Jadeja might just turn things around for India as he adds value with both bat and ball.

Ravindra Jadeja is a great player – Michael Bevan

While speaking to CricketAddictor, Michael Bevan leapt praise on Ravindra Jadeja for being a dynamic player and carries a whole load of experience playing in such conditions which is why he can add value with both bat and ball.

“Jadeja is a great player, he’s pretty dynamic and experienced and he can definitely lend value both, batting down the order and if the wicket is turning a little bit. So, I guess that’s something that team India will consider for the next match,” Bevan said.

Bevan further added how it might be an issue including Ravindra Jadeja in the playing XI as it might just affect the team combination of the Indian team. With Ravichandran Ashwin being one the wicket-takers for India in the first test, it remains to see if they’d back the inclusion of Jadeja at the cost of the off-spinner.

“How that affects the balance could be an issue for the Indian team management but he (Jadeja) does have some pedigree and he’s a dynamic player, capable of being a match-winner,” Michael Bevan added.
