Former Pakistani skipper Misbah-ul-Haq has formally applied for the post of head coach. It is to be noted that the board has invited for applications starting August 9th.
The PCB has decided not to renew the contracts of their coaches after their poor run in the World Cup and the English series. Today, being the last day Misbah applied for the same without any hesitation.
Misbah just resigned to his post as a member of the PCB Cricket Committee before applying for the coaching role.” I am applying for the head coach”s role fully aware that the competition will be tough as I envisage there will be a few more very competent and highly qualified people applying for one of the most challenging jobs in the game”, he said in a statement to the PCB.
Misbah-An undisputed warrior in the past
Misbah has an International experience of 276 games scoring close to 11,000 across all formats of the game. He had been a pillar of the Pakistani middle order over the years.
The dates for the interviews and announcements aren”t out yet. Further developments on the news are awaited. However, reports suggest that the board should finalize the results ahead of the home series against Srilanka.
