Karun Nair. The name Indian test format has forgotten very soon. A few months after his historic 303* at Chennai against the poms, he wasn”t spotted with the side. He also admitted that he wasn”t given enough chances after his spectacular knock. However, his hunger for runs still remains the same.
In the ongoing Duleep Trophy, Karun shined like the brightest star for his side, India Red. After missing out a century by a run in the first innings, he made a fantastic 166* in the second. He faced the India Blue bowlers with ease and was able to push them to boundaries without much effort.
Karun Nair leads the batting charts with 265 runs in two innings at an impeccable average of 265. Without a doubt, he was awarded the Man of the Match for his stellar performance.

India Red is now ranked at the top with three points. They will face India Green on the 29th of this month.
The final will be played on September 4th at Bengaluru.
