Faf Du Plessis is all set to join the Kent side for the final leg of Vitality T20 Blast. He is expected to join ahead of their encounter against Gloucestershire on August 29th.
He will represent the side for a minimum of two matches for the side including the game against Essex. Depending on the results, he might stay with them for further quarterfinal fixtures.
Kent is currently ranked fourth in the South Group of the points table. The side has won six out of 12 games till now. It will be interesting if Faf can add a flavor to the side by winning the next two games.
An excited Faf responded to his signing. He said “I really look forward to joining up with Kent for the last part of the Blast. I will do my best to contribute to the already successful team and hopefully, help them to lift a trophy. I’ve played with some of the squad members in the past and look forward to joining up with all the guys again.“

Faf Du Plessis for the Indian tour
Faf will be joining the national side by October for the three-match test series against India. However, he isn”t a part of T20I squad as captaincy reigns are now with Quinton De Kock.
Furthermore, the entire South African cricket board is under renovation as a result of their dismal display at World Cup 2019. A humongous task is on his shoulders while leading his side in whites.
