The marquee England-India Test series is getting a lot of attention from fans for the high voltage action. Meanwhile, star England fast bowler Stuart Broad has been ruled out of the entire series with a tear in the calf.
Notably, he suffered an injury during the practice session ahead of the 2nd Test at Lord’s. The entire cricketing fraternity has sympathised with Broad after he was ruled out. Former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin also extended a heartfelt note but got trolled instead.
While talking about Stuart Broad’s absence from the second Test Mohammad Azharuddin tweeted:
“With injuries to #ChrisBroad and @jimmy9 England will have a second string of bowlers. Advantage India. #IndvsEng #EngvsInd.”
Notably, Mohammad Azharuddin wrongly mentioned Stuart Broad as Chris Broad. Meanwhile, Chris Broad is the father of Stuart Broad and a former England cricketer.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Mohammad Azharuddin referring to Stuart Broad as Chris Broad
Azzu bhai – 1980s se aage badho. Stuart little not Chris. Anderson has bowled last evening @ nets. May play.

“Things can change so quickly” – Stuart Broad after getting ruled out
After Broad was ruled out he expressed his disappointment in missing the series. The 35-year-old penned down the emotional note on his official Instagram handle. Stuart Broad wrote:
“Things can change so quickly. A moment before training all smiles, then during the warm-up, I jumped a hurdle, landed a bit awkwardly on my right ankle then the next step felt like I’d been whipped by a rope as hard as you can imagine on the back of my leg. I actually turned to @jimmya9 and asked why he whipped me! But when I realized he was nowhere near me, I knew I was in trouble. Scans say Grade 3 calf. All so innocuous.”
“Season over & gutted to miss this India Test Series but a huge focus on Australia now. Going to take my time, no rush, baby steps & be the fittest I can be heading out there. A big focus in my brain. Good luck to the @englandcricket boys this week. I’ll be watching every ball from my sofa hoping to see runs & wickets in the glorious Lord’s sunshine,” he added.
