Shami recently revealed that Kohli asks his fast bowlers to decide who will be the opening bowlers that will share the new ball. He added that once they are unable to reach a conclusion they approach their skipper again. Kohli ultimately throws the ball to his fast bowlers saying he will be happy with anything that his bowlers decide.
“All three of us Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and I want to bowl with a new ball. When we are not able to choose, we approach Virat to decide. But Virat Kohli throws the ball back in our court saying whatever you all decide is fine by me,” said Mohammed Shami on ESPNcricinfo new chat show ‘Cricketbaaz’.
Mohammed Shami talked upon various topics relating to his cricketing life on the new Hindi chat show. Shami gave in-depth details to the host of the show former Indian wicket-keeper Deep Dasgupta. Shami last played a Test match earlier this year against New Zealand. India lost the series 2-0 and slipped in the Test match ranking as Australia became the new number 1 side in the world.
