Team India pacer Mohammad Shami’s estranged wife, Hasin Jahan, posted a cryptic message on social media following the cricketer’s recent interview. The former model alleged that attempts were being made to intimidate her. Jahan asserted that she would not give in to any pressure, despite efforts to disrupt her life, noting that she had faced similar threats back in 2018 without fear.
For context, in 2018, Jahan had filed an FIR against Shami and his family at the Jadavpur police station, citing allegations of domestic violence and match-fixing.
Jahan wrote on Instagram: “Pagal awara Kutto se darna hota mujhe, to 2018 me hi dar jaati😁 Jitna chahe jor lagale mujhe darane ki,jhukane ki,barbad karne ki mai Allah ke karam se aur mazboot aur mazboot bante jaungi inshallah. (If I were to be afraid of mad dogs, I would have gotten scared in 2018 itself. Try as hard as you want to scare me, ruin me, but with Aallah’s grace, I will only get stronger.)”

Mohammad Shami and Hasin Jahan got married on June 6, 2014, and welcomed a daughter, Aaira, on July 17, 2015. However, their relationship soured, culminating in a public fallout in 2018. Last month, the Calcutta High Court directed Shami to pay Jahan ₹4 lakh per month as alimony, with ₹2.5 lakh of that amount specifically allocated for their daughter’s expenses.
“I Never Regret The Past”- Shami Reflects On Troubled Marriage
During an interview with News 24, Mohammad Shami was asked about any regrets regarding his marriage to Hasin Jahan. The veteran bowler responded that he prefers not to get involved in controversies and wants to concentrate solely on his cricket. He added that he does not wish to blame anyone and has no regrets about his past. NDTV quoted Shami saying:
“Leave that. I never regret the past. What’s gone is gone. And I don’t want to blame anyone, including myself. I want to focus on my cricket. I don’t need these controversies.”
Shami was not included in India’s T20 squad for the 2025 Asia Cup. Currently, he is playing for East Zone in the 2025 Duleep Trophy.
