After the World Cup concluded, MS Dhoni reunited with his former India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) teammate, Suresh Raina. Fans were disappointed not to see former India captain MS Dhoni during the recent Cricket World Cup, despite reports of invitations to previous World Cup-winning captains for the India-Australia match.

The anticipation of Dhoni’s appearance during the summit clash didn’t materialize, as he and his wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni visited the cricketer’s ancestral village in Uttarakhand’s Almora district.

Dhoni and his wife Sakshi hosted Raina for dinner, and the former India batsman expressed gratitude to the couple for being exceptional hosts as always.

“Thank you so much for the great dinner @sakshisingh_r & @mahi7781 bhai,” Raina captioned the post on Instagram.

“Thank you Mahi bhai… for having me over for dinner! God bless you and family,” Ojha posted this on Instagram.

Last week, a photo surfaced on social media featuring Dhoni and his wife Sakshi posing in Almora’s Lwali village. Recently, a video went viral, showing Dhoni and Sakshi interacting with the locals in the village.

Meanwhile, India faced defeat against Australia in the World Cup final last week. Pat Cummins, Australia’s captain, considers their World Cup victory in India a defining moment in their legacy. Australia secured their sixth title by defeating India in the 2023 final.

Virat Kohli earned the Player of the Tournament award and topped the run charts, while Mohammed Shami emerged as the leading wicket-taker. The total attendance at matches reached 1,250,307, marking the highest in any Cricket World Cup so far.
