Former India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni was seen spending time with his wife, Sakshi, alongside popular cricket presenter Jatin Sapru and his wife, Lara Sinha, ahead of the IPL 2025 season. Jatin Sapru shared a picture of the group on his official Instagram account.

MS Dhoni and Jatin Sapru are both proud fathers of daughters—Dhoni’s daughter is named Ziva, while Sapru’s daughter is Inaaya. Meanwhile, the IPL 2025 season is set to begin on March 21 and conclude on May 25.

MS Dhoni, who retired from international cricket in 2020, has remained an active participant in the IPL. He captained Chennai Super Kings (CSK) until the 2023 season before passing the leadership to Ruturaj Gaikwad ahead of IPL 2024. Now 43, Dhoni is set to feature in his 18th IPL season.
Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, CSK retained Dhoni for INR 4 crore under the ‘uncapped player’ category, ensuring his presence in the squad for another season. This marks his 16th season with the Chennai-based franchise, where he has been the backbone of the team.
The veteran wicketkeeper-batter has had a legendary IPL career, guiding CSK to five titles and cementing his place as one of the league’s greatest captains, known for his calm leadership, tactical brilliance, and match-finishing abilities.
Dhoni has played 264 IPL matches, scoring 5,243 runs at an average of 39.12 and a strike rate of 137.53. His record includes 24 half-centuries, with a highest score of 84. Since IPL is the only tournament Dhoni plays these days, fans are eagerly awaiting his return to the field, hoping he can deliver another thrilling season like last year.
