With Raina missing out this season, Dhoni will now soon become the first player to play 200 matches in the biggest T20 league in the world. Dhoni in his IPL career has played for the Chennai Super Kings and the Rising Pune Supergiant.
He was part of the Supergiant during the 2016 and 2017 edition of the IPL. The Chennai Super Kings were suspended by the IPL governing council for their alleged involvement in match-fixing.
Meanwhile, Dhoni has led his beloved CSK franchise two-three IPL titles so far. Under Dhoni, CSK lifted the IPL crown in 2010, 2011 and 2018 respectively. He has also taken them to the most playoffs in IPL history.
Moreover, Dhoni has remained one of the great batsmen in the Indian Premier League. The CSK skipper before his innings today has accumulated 4461 runs at a strike rate of 137.4.
