Ahead of the five matches One-day International series starting from 20th August, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav and Dhawal Kulkarni sweat out at National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru. Both Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Suresh Raina have created lots of partnership in One-day international Cricket for India in the past which has helped the Men in Blue win matches out of hopeless situations. Both Dhoni and Raina put on 196 not out runs partnership during the 2015 World Cup game at Auckland.
Since then things have changed for Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Suresh Raina. The former Indian captain played in the ODI series against West Indies. He has been struggling in ODI format to be a finisher. In the West Indies ODI series, Dhoni scored 78*, 54. India won that series by 3-1.
The left handed batsmen Suresh Raina might be recalled into the ODI series against Sri Lanka. He played his last ODI match on 25th October 2015 against South Africa. Raina could play an important role in India’s ODI team as he has the ability to complete the game and help team India to win matches.
