Currently, MS Dhoni is enjoying his vacation as India are playing tests against Sri Lanka. He will return for ODI and T20I series which starts on December 10. Last February, Dhoni had launched his own lifestyle brand named ‘SEVEN’. Dhoni is the brand ambassador and also owns footwear side of the business.
A SEVEN store was launched at Surat and guess who inaugurated it? It was India’s batsman Kedar Jadhav who cut the ribbon and opened up the proceedings. The official Twitter panel of the store revealed the news by quoting, “Finally the ribbons are cut by our star Kedar Jadhav at Surat!!!”
SEVEN was launched by RS SEVEN lifestyle and MS Dhoni on February 19, 2016 in New Delhi. The name comes from MS Dhoni’s jersey number. ₹150 crore (US$23 million) to ₹200 crore (US$31 million) was spent by investors in development and distributions of the brand.
Manufacturing for the brand is done in India, China and Vietnam. It has 15 distributors in India. It is also spread over the USA and the Middle East. Flipkart is their official E-Commerce partner. The products of SEVEN are available at over 300 stores in India. Its first outlet was launched at MSD’s hometown Ranchi on July 20 this year.
India plays 3 ODIS against Sri Lanka at Dharamshala, Mohali, and Vishakhapatnam on December 10, 13 and 17 respectively. Thereafter 3 T20Is will be played at Cuttack, Indore, and Mumbai on December 20, 22 and 24.
