Defending champions Mumbai Indians have added New Zealand all-rounder Scott Kuggeleijn as a reserve player for the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma & Co currently occupy the fourth spot with two wins from five matches. They are currently in the city of Delhi, where they will play their next 4 IPL matches.

Mumbai certainly have not started their campaign in the manner they would have liked. The five-time IPL champions have also lost the last 2 matches that they have played. In their previous IPL encounter against the Punjab Kings (PBKS), the Mumbai Indians side fell short in every department of the game. The Mumbai side could only muster a total of 131 on the board. In reply, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) walloped the Rohit Sharma-led side with 9 wickets to spare.

Meanwhile, an Instagram story of Mumbai Indians all-rounder Jimmy Neesham has confirmed that Scott Kuggeleijn has joined the bubble of the team as a reserve player. In the story shared by Neesham, Kuggeleijn was seen playing billiards inside the Mumbai bubble.

Meanwhile, Scott Kuggeleijn has earlier played in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the year 2019, the New Zealand willow wielder was a part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) side. He was a part of the CSK playing XI in 2 matches in the 12th edition of the IPL. Kuggeleijn is yet to score a run in IPL cricket and has taken two wickets with the ball in the IPL.

Kuggeleijn has also represented New Zealand in 16 T20I. The right-handed batter has scored 79 at an average of 19.75 and at a strike rate of 213.51. Mumbai Indians will next play Rajasthan Royals in Delhi on April 29 at the Arun Jaitley stadium.
