Nasser Hussain Claims England To Win Ashes 2023

Nasser Hussain, a former captain of England, thinks Ben Stokes and co. Will defeat longtime rival Australia in the upcoming Ashes series. With a dominant performance against Ireland in the lone Test at Lord’s, England has had an impressive start to the summer.

The upcoming Ashes series is one of those that has been eagerly anticipated recently. Australia recently won the World Test Championship (WTC) league stage and will try to snap a 21-year losing streak on English soil.

On the other hand, England has benefited from the newly discovered, extremely aggressive style of cricket played under the leadership of Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum.

They are already making a compelling case for the upcoming WTC cycle despite having only lost two Tests in the previous 12 months.

Nasser Hussain predicted that England would continue to play aggressively and defeat Australia by a narrow 3-2 score in the summer.

I believe they will. They’ll attempt it. There won’t likely be many draws, in my opinion. 3-2, in my opinion. This Australian team is outstanding. But for me, the question is whether Australia’s batting lineup can put up a respectable total to give their elite bowling lineup a chance, as opposed to the attention that will be paid to “Bazball” and whether England can destroy the likes of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon, and co.”

At Lord’s, England defeated Ireland in their first innings by scoring 524 runs in just 82.4 overs. Both opening batter Ben Duckett and newly appointed vice-captain Ollie Pope scored their first double centuries.

Nasser Hussain on the upcoming Ashes series: “There is an added bit of excitement.
The World Test Championship final between Australia and India will take place at The Oval starting on June 9, making it the team’s first task on English soil. The urn is currently held by Australia, who won the 2021–22 Ashes on home soil by a convincing 4-0 score against England. Nasser Hussain acknowledged that the upcoming Ashes have generated additional interest.”

There is some extra excitement. Given the history of the venue, the crowd, and the atmosphere, I believe we would arrive at Edgbaston on day one extremely excited, but I believe there is even more excitement this time.”

The brand and style of cricket played by this England team is the reason for this. We all wonder if they will show up and treat Australia the same way they have treated every other opposition, Hussain continued.
Beginning on June 16 in Edgbaston, Birmingham, the 2023 Ashes will take place.
