Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant is seen as the successor of MS Dhoni in all formats of the game for India. Having made his international debut for India in 2018, the youngster has improved vastly on his game, three years down the line. He has turned into a potential matchwinner for India and his recent performances truly justifies his talent. A regular in the Test format, Pant has been in and out of the Indian white-ball team with KL Rahul donning the gloves. However, he has been included in the Indian T20I squad for the upcoming series against England.
Pant first broke into the international circuit making his T20I debut against England in T20Is. With MS Dhoni still around, he learnt the tricks and the traits from the Indian veteran. He is an aggressive cricketer with a lot of intent on scoring runs. This is what set him apart from the others and made him a standout cricketer. From the T20Is, he then broke into the Test arena against the same opponents in 2018. He also has Test centuries against England and Australia which adds more weight to his potential as a matchwinner. Later in 2018, he made his ODI debut against West Indies. However, with Dhoni still playing, Pant had to wait for his chance and now with him retired, he is certainly in line to succeed him in all formats.
