Nitish Rana, Kolkata Knight Riders opener, opened up about the exchange of secret message between skipper Eoin Morgan and analyst Nathan Leamon. Morgan and Leamon have worked together for England. They worked successfully during England’s maiden World Cup title win in 2019. After taking suggestions from Morgan, KKR appointed Leamon as the analyst.
In their game against Punjab Kings, Leamon used a placard to give out a secret message to Morgan. Similarly, Leamon imitated the same incident during England’s tour of South Africa, where Leamon used a placard from the balcony to provide Morgan with some information.
Players have no clue about the code – Nitish Rana
Nitish Rana also told it was something exclusive between KKR skipper Eoin Morgan and Nathan Leamon, and the players had no clue about it. The players tried to decode that; however, they couldn’t manage to crack the code.
“No, that’s just between the captain and the analyst. Even we don’t know yet, we are also trying to figure out what it is,” Nitish Rana told Sportskeeda.
“I always start every season on a good note but let myself down mid-season. We have reached the mid-phase of the tournament, and if we score 2-3 wins it will be great for us because the points table has been working like that as well. So, hopefully, we will win this game and come upwards on the table.
Nitish Rana also spoke about his form that fades away after a brilliant start. After a few half-centuries at the beginning, he has merely gone past the 30 marks. He is attempting to improve his consistency.
“Because I always start every season on a good note but let myself down mid-season. I will try not to allow it to happen this year because it has been repeating for the last 2-3 years. I want to make sure that I grow as a player, and I will try to not repeat the same mistakes,”Nitish Rana concluded.
In general, KKR are having a rough time on the field in this Indian Premier League (IPL) with two wins from seven outings/
