“No Reason Why Virat Kohli Can’t Play The 2031 ODI World Cup” – David Warner

Australian cricketer David Warner feels Virat Kohli is fit enough to play in the 2031 ODI World Cup. The Indian cricketer recently played his fourth ICC ODI World Cup this year. He played a crucial role for the team helping them to reach the finals of the tournament. India ended up as the runners-up, losing to Australia in the final.

Virat Kohli was the leading run-scorer in the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup. In eleven matches, he has scored 765 runs at an average of 95.62, and a strike rate of 90.31. He slammed three centuries and six fifties in the tournament. The veteran batter won the Player of the Tournament award for his memorable run.

David Warner responded to a fan on ‘X’ (Twitter) that Virat Kohli is fit enough, and there is no reason why the Indian cricketer cannot play the 2031 ICC ODI World Cup. “No reason why he can’t, he is very fit and loves the game so much,” tweeted the Australian cricketer.

There is a lot of cricket left in Virat Kohli: Sachin Tendulkar

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar also feels Virat Kohli has a lot of cricket left in him. Recently, Virat Kohli broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record of Most Centuries in ODI cricket. He slammed his 50th ODI century in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 semi-final match against New Zealand. Praising the veteran batter, Sachin Tendulkar said to Espncricinfo,

“I have seen Virat even before he played for India. And then I have seen him grow from a youngster.”

“And then the same player goes on to achieve such wonderful things for the country. I am so pleased that he has been able to do that and I am very sure that the journey has not stopped. There is a lot of cricket left in him and a lot of runs left in him. A lot of hunger and desire to achieve more for the country,” he added.
