Suresh Raina asked Rinku Singh a lighthearted question on managing the numerous messages and attention from outside during the talk. In response, Rinku said he doesn’t think about it. Following Rinku’s modest response, Raina laughed heartily and jokingly exclaimed, “Ofhoo.”
“Aur abhi itne message jo bahar se aa rahe hai usko kaise control kar rahe ho? Too much attractions coming from outside (And now, how are you handling all the messages and attention coming from outside?),” Raina asked Rinku. “Nahi mai jyada dhyaan nahi deta matlab (I don’t pay much attention to it),” Rinku replied.
The team management has recognized Rinku’s contribution even though he has had limited opportunities this year because of the dominance of the top order.
Even though Rinku had a quiet IPL 2024 season with little time at the wicket, his tenacity and commitment are impressive. Rinku is still an important backup player for the team, even if he was left out of the first T20 World Cup roster. He is going to the USA alongside them.
Rinku showed flashes of his potential in the IPL 2024, amassing 168 runs at a remarkable strike rate 148.67.
