Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal sent back home by PCB :- Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal has lost his spot in Champions Trophy squad as he has failed two fitness tests in England. As a result, he has been asked to return his home country.

The fitness test was conducted two days ago in Birmingham, the city where the two superpowers of cricketing world will clash. Umar Akmal was also dropped for the West Indies series due to fitness concerns.

“Umar Akmal has failed two fitness tests during the ongoing camp there in England ahead of Champions Trophy,” PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan whispered in an interview.

He further added, “So since we don”t have the policy to carry unfit players, it has been decided to call him back and send a replacement. We have a deadline until May 25 so we are deliberating on the possible replacements.”
