Pakistan To Skip 2025 Asia Cup And 2026 T20 World Cup In India- Reports

Pakistan is unlikely to participate in any ACC or ICC events in India until 2027. India is set to host the Asia Cup 2025, Women’s T20 World Cup 2025, and ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, but the Pakistan team is expected to skip the matches on Indian soil during these tournaments.

According to The Times of India, India’s decision not to travel to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy prompted the PCB to inform the BCCI that they wouldn’t send their team to India for events until the end of the current media rights cycle in 2027.

While the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, may allow for Pakistan’s matches to be scheduled outside India, the Asia Cup and Women’s T20 World Cup in 2025, both solely hosted by India, face complications regarding Pakistan’s participation.

The two nations have agreed not to tour each other but remain open to playing matches at neutral venues. The UAE is expected to serve as the neutral venue for India’s matches during the Champions Trophy, which will be hosted by the PCB next year.

When will the next India vs Pakistan match take place?

While the schedule for the Champions Trophy 2025 is yet to be released, Cricbuzz reports that the date for the India vs Pakistan clash has been finalized. The highly anticipated match is set for March 1 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The most recent ODI encounter between the two arch-rivals took place during the 2023 World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium, where India secured a comfortable victory. It will be intriguing to see if India can once again triumph over their rivals in the 50-over format on March 1 in Dubai.
