Parthiv Patel Reveals How RCB Missed Jasprit Bumrah

Have you ever imagined Jasprit Bumrah donning Royal Challengers Bangalore Jersey in Indian Premier League? But, it would have happened if RCB owners had taken Parthiv Patel’s advice a bit more seriously. He revealed that RCB lost to Mumbai Indians in the bidding war, which changed the whole scenario.

The connection between Parthiv Patel and Jasprit Bumrah is that both hail from the same state, thus, Patel have a fair knowledge about Bumrahs talent. Instead, Royal Challengers Bangalore have bought Tymal Mills, Mitchell Starc, Chris Jordan, who failed to deliver the goods.

On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah had made his debut and removed the skipper Virat Kohli to start his glorious career. Since then, he became a force to reckon for Mumbai Indians and also became number one ranked bowler in limited over formats for India.

Speaking to Fan code, Parthiv Patel recalled an incident where he told Kohli about Jasprit Bumrah and that RCB should buy him, much before the paceman was roped in by Mumbai Indians.

“I told Virat that this is the guy, we should be picking him! But obviously, Mumbai Indians outwitted RCB and he went to Mumbai Indians,” Parthiv Patel was quoted as saying by Fan code. Mumbai Indians bought Bumrah early in his career and the pacer went on to become one of the finest bowlers in the league.

However, as they say, it is what it is. RCB had a horrendous ride in the IPL tournament so far, as they never won a single trophy to their name. They were close to winning for a couple of times but Hyderabad franchise has other ideas.
