Parvinder Awana announces his retirement from all forms of cricket

Indian bowler Parvinder Awana announced his retirement from cricket. Parvinder Awana has been an integral part of Delhi cricket and other zonal teams in the domestic arena.

The right-hand medium bowler Parvinder Awana took Twitter to make this announcement where he thanked the DDCA officials for giving him an opportunity to represent the gentleman”s game. He also thanked his then seniors Gambhir, Sehwag and other bowlers who assisted him during his days at Delhi cricket.

It is to be noted that Parvinder is currently working with the income tax department and mentioned that he will keep playing matches for them. Parvinder Awana had represented Kings XI Punjab in 33 matches and picked 39 scalps. His thrifty spells earned him the national call-up in 2012 for the T20I series against England.

Parvinder had a forgettable series as he went wicketless and was never given a chance. Overall Parvinder Awana played 2 T20I”s, 62 First class matches, 44  List A and 61 T20 games.
