After BCCI, the PCB is also mulling over playing the remainder of PSL 2021 in the UAE. There are reports that BCCI is planning to host the remainder of IPL 2021 in the UAE after reports of rising COVID cases in India. Similar to the IPL 2021, the sixth edition of the PSL was also suspended in early March, after completion of 14 of the scheduled 34 matches, following multiple covid cases in players and staff members.
PCB earlier said that they will resume PSL 2021 June 1 with the final on June 20; all the matches will take place at the National Stadium, Karachi. With Pakistan too observing a rise in the number of COVID cases, the board might shift the remainder of the season to the UAE.
According to ESPNcricinfo, the board has received a letter from the franchises last week and it is believed to be considering the request and reviewing current plans, taking learning from the IPL fall-out. The teams are to assemble in Karachi by May 23 to begin their mandatory seven-day quarantine.
PCB Keen On Shifting Remainder Of PSL 2021 To The UAE
“Now, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) will announce the decision. If it decides that the league should be resumed, we will bio-secure Karachi and all matches would be played there,” a PCB spokesman was quoted by news agency Reuters as saying.
“If the NCOC does not give the go-ahead to PCB for holding matches in Karachi, we will consult the franchises to hold the rest of the tournament in the UAE,” he added.

Seeing the BCCI choose that path, the PCB also thoughts thats the best way to complete the tournament. There are also reports that the BCCI is finalising on UAE as the venue for the T20 World Cup later this year which is to be hosted in India.
