Penguin Books to publish the Autobiography of This Indian Star

Penguin Random House India will unveil the autobiography of Indian women”s skipper Mithali Raj later this year. It is to be noted that Sachin and Ganguly also released their autobiographies sometime back and received good accolades from the enthusiastic readers across the world.

A promotional event was organized at Mumbai where Mithali spoke “We need to change the very mindset of our society because that has been the biggest challenge as women athletes we faced in our journey, the perception of people that sports is not meant for women.”

Mithali Raj, who is now the leading run scorer among the Women”s ODI led the Indian team till the finals of the Women”s World Cup 2017 at England.

In her Twitter handle, an excited Mithali Raj posted “Yep its happening”. Titled “Unguarded”, the books is expected to hit the markets towards the end of 2018.

Her calm and composed attitude before going to the crease made her one of the unique cricketers in the world. In the process, she even became the first women”s player to hit seven half-centuries on a trot. Adding another feather to her cap, she became the first Indian to score 2,000 runs in the T20I”s.

It is to be noted that Mithali Raj was also named the Wisden Cricketer of the year a few months back alongside Virat Kohli.
