“People Think I Am Jos Buttler’s Wife” – Lara Van Der Dussen Shares Hilarious Story Of IPL 2022

Jos Buttler has been in amazing form in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Buttler is currently the Orange Cap holder in IPL 2022. The Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener has scored 718 runs in IPL 2022 at an amazing average of 51.3. Buttler also has an impactful strike rate of 148.3

Buttler has already scored three centuries in the 15th edition of the cash-rich league. He has raised his bat several times after reaching the milestones. Lara Van Der Dussen is frequently seen cheering for the Royals in the stands. Many fans have mistaken Lara Van Der Dussen as the wife of Jos Buttler.

Lara Van Der Dussen is the wife of South Africa and Rajasthan Royals cricketer Rassie Van der Dussen. In a RR podcast, Lara jokingly said that people definitely think of her as Jos Buttler’s wife because the cameraman always shows her face after Buttler reaches a milestone.

People think I’m Jos’ wife. I definitely think it’s because I’ve been in camera quite a few times. And Dhanashree and I cannot control ourselves next to the field as we are quite invested in the cheering. And Jos has been getting 100s as we go along and maybe the excitement has got people thinking probably I’m part of him, so it’s quite interesting,” Lara said on the Royals podcast.

“I think I have now adopted Jos as my second husband ” – Lara Van Der Dussen

Rassie Van Der Dussen was bought by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022 auctions at a price of INR 3 crores. However, he has got to play just three matches in IPL 2022. Lara Van Dussen in the podcast also said that she would continue to cheer for Jos Buttler in upcoming matches too.

I think I’ve now adopted Jos as my second husband it seems. I’ve been known as Louise, I think that’s what his wife’s name is, I haven’t met her before that makes it worse. And Rassie has not played as much in the IPL so I haven’t been able to show the same sentiment to him. So I’ll just adopt the cheering for Jos for now on and enjoy it,” Lara added in the podcast.
