Prithvi Shaw Shines As Panthers Dominate

Prithvi Shaw wrapped up his T20 Mumbai League 2025 campaign in spectacular fashion, smashing a fiery 75 runs off just 34 balls. His explosive innings powered the North Mumbai Panthers to a comprehensive win over the Suryakumar Yadav-led Triumph Knights Mumbai North East.

Supported well by Harshal Jadhav’s 46-run knock, the Panthers posted an intimidating total of 208. The Triumph Knights fell short in their chase, getting bowled out for 169. The win marked a strong finish for the Panthers, highlighting Shaw’s return to top form.

Meanwhile, at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, other league matches brought more excitement. Eagle Thane Strikers outclassed ARCS Andheri, and the SoBo Mumbai Falcons overcame the Aakash Tigers MWS. These victories brought the league stage to an exciting conclusion, paving the way for a highly anticipated semifinal round scheduled for June 10.

The top four contenders—Bandra Blasters, Eagle Thane Strikers, SoBo Mumbai Falcons, and Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals—will now battle for a place in the final.

Suved Parkar Leads Standout Performers

The 2025 season saw several standout individual displays. Suved Parkar from Bandra Blasters leads the run charts and currently dons the Orange Cap. His blistering knock of 76 off 37 balls, alongside Vikrant Auti’s support, set a tournament record with a 118-run opening partnership, helping the Blasters chase down a modest 151-run target with ease. Parkar’s consistency has been a cornerstone for his team’s success.

On the bowling front, Shashank Attarde of the Eagle Thane Strikers earned the Purple Cap for his relentless wicket-taking performances. SoBo Mumbai Falcons’ Shreyas Iyer has brought calm leadership and timely contributions, while Sairaj Patil has impressed with his aggressive batting style.

Other key contributors include Siddhant Adhatrao and Suryakumar Yadav from the Triumph Knights, as well as Siddhesh Lad and Chinmay Sutar from MSC Maratha Royals—all of whom scored vital half-centuries during the league.

Countdown to the Final Showdown

Earlier in the day, Bandra Blasters comfortably secured their semifinal spot with a dominant win over the MSC Maratha Royals at DY Patil Stadium. Their openers, Parkar and Auti dismantled the opposition bowlers, chasing the target with more than four overs remaining.

Despite some fightback by Sahil Jadhav and a four-wicket haul by Dhrumil Matkar, the Royals failed to post a competitive score. With the semifinals on June 10 and the grand finale on June 12, fans can expect a thrilling conclusion to a season filled with fireworks.
