The young batting sensation Prithvi Shaw will miss the upcoming practice games during India A”s tour of New Zealand after sustaining a shoulder injury. It has been a tough year for the 20-year-old, who has been out of the Test side since suffering an injury ahead of the Australia tour in 2018. The selectors included Shaw in India A squad for the one-dayers and the four-day games in New Zealand.

Shaw recently copped up a blow in the shoulder while playing for Mumbai in the ongoing Ranji Trophy match against Karnataka. Scans revealed Prithvi Shaw had a rotator cuff and labrum injury to his left shoulder which immediately ruled him out of the game. And now, he has been out of the New Zealand series as well. Currently, he is undergoing rehabilitation in the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
