It was the third day of Ranji Trophy matches. Saurashtra earned a crushing win over Jammu and Kashmir while Vidarbha also smashed Punjab an innings.

Starting the 3rd day on 427 for 6, Karnataka added 42 runs and declared the innings on 469 for 7 taking a lead of 324 runs. In the second innings, Assam is 169 for 6. Captain G Sharma remained not out on 62.

Starting the day on 58 for 5, Railways were bowled out for 136. The pick of bowlers for Delhi was Manan Sharma with 4 for 50. Ishant Sharma and Vikas Mishra picked 3 wickets each. In the second innings, Railways are struggling at 157 for 6.

Starting the 3rd day on 103 for 4 the Jammu and Kashmir batsmen were dismissed for 156. Ravindra Jadeja and Dharmendra Jadeja took 10 wickets between them.  In the second innings, Saurashtra bowlers continued their brilliant form bowling Jammu and Kashmir for 256. It was their second successive win for Sauhastra.

Gujarat could not any runs and was dismissed for 307 runs taking a lead of 99 runs. In the second innings, Kerala could only score 203 runs giving a target of 105. Gujarat is 22 for 1.

Starting the 3rd day on 130 for 1, Jay Gokul Batista scored a brilliant century while Siddesh Lad and Surya Kumar made valuable contributions. Mumbai ended day 3 on 415 for 8.

On the third day, Vidarbha was dismissed for a massive 505 runs. In the second innings, Punjab was dismissed for 227 handing Vidarbha 117 runs innings victory.  Only Manan Vohra scored 51 and resting of Punjab batting order failed and were dismissed for 227. Akshay Karnewar took 6 wickets and Wakhare took 4 wickets.  On the 3rd day, Himachal Pradesh batsmen scored a massive total of 625 for 7 declared. In their second innings, Goa openers added 131 runs for the first wicket.

On the 3rd day, Chhattisgarh was bowled out for 110. Ashok Dinda was the pick of bowlers for Bengal taking 7 wickets.  In the second innings, the hosts were 229 for 5.

Group A

Assam vs. Karnataka (Mysuru)

Karnataka declared their innings on 469 for 7 after adding 42 runs.  In the second innings, Assam is struggling at 169 for 6.

Assam 145 for 10 in 59.1 overs ( G Sharma 55, K Gowtham 4/20) and 169 for 6 in 63 overs ( G Sharma 62*, SA Roy 44, A Mithun 3/39) trail Karnataka  469 for 7 declared in 126.4 overs ( R Samarth 123, K Gowtham 149) by 155 runs

Delhi vs. Railways ( Delhi)

Railways started the 3rd day on 58 for 5 and were bowled out for 136. In their second innings, Railways are struggling at 157 for 6

Jammu and Kashmir started the 3rd day on 103 for 4. The visitors were bowled out for 156 in their first innings.  Dharmendra Jadeja and Ravindra Jadeja picked 10 wickets between them.

Saurashtra  624 for 7 dins 135 overs ( Ravindra Jadeja 201, Sheldon Jackson 181, SS Patel 94, Waseem Raja 3/164)  beat   Jammu and Kashmir 156 in 60. 5 overs ( SP Khajuria 41, P Bisht 34*, R Jadeja 4/40, D Jadeja 6/68 and 256 in 84.1 overs ( P Bisht 55, R Dayal 56, Jivrajani 6/79, Ravindra Jadeja 3/69) by an innings and 212 runs

Jharkhand started the 3rd day on 97 for 2. It was a poor batting display by Jharkhand to be bowled out for 265 with contributions from captain SS Tiwary, Ishan Kishan, Kaushal Singh

Gujarat vs. Kerala ( Nadiad)

Starting the 3rd day on 307 for 9, Gujarat added 0 runs. Kerala batsmen could not post a big total and were dismissed for 203. Gujarat is 22 for 1 requiring 105 runs to win

Baroda vs. Andhra ( Vadodara)

Andhra Pradesh has put themselves in a strong position with 505 for 9. Captain G Vihari has scored 150 and Bhui scored 145. The lower order also contributed

The 3rd day was a great day for Jay Bista who made a great century while Siddesh Lad and Surya Kumar Yadav scored good contributions to give Mumbai lead.

Mumbai 415 for 8 in 123 overs ( Jay Gokul Bista 135, Siddesh Lad 82, Suryakumar Yadav 91, Mihir Hirwani 2/95) lead Madhya Pradesh 409 in 144.3 overs ( Naman Ojha 180, Ankit Sharma 67, Akash Parkar 4/70) by 6 runs.

Tamil Nadu vs. Tripura ( Chennai)

Starting the 3rd day on 332 for 2, only 8 overs were possible as the day ended on 357 for 4.

Punjab vs. Vidarbha ( Mohali)

Vidarbha earned a crushing win on the third day against Punjab. After being bowled out for 505 in the first innings, Vidarbha dismissed Punjab for 227.

Vidarbha 505 in 153.2 overs ( Ganesh Satish 164, RR Sanjay 161, Abhishek Sharma 4/136 ) beat Punjab 161 all out in 42.2 overs ( Lalit Yadav 3/47, SS Neral 3/48) and 227 in 72.1 overs ( M Vohra 51, Yuvraj Singh 42, Abshiehk Sharma 49, Akshay Karnewar 6/47, Wakhare 4/83) by an inning and 117 runs

Himachal Pradesh vs. Goa ( Dharamshala)

Starting the 3rd day on 356 for 4, the Himachal Pradesh batsmen contributed big runs. N Gangta remained not out on 127, Amit Kumar 97 and PP Jaiswal scored a quick fire half century.

Goa 131 in 32 overs ( SP Amnokar 67, Asnodkar 51) and 255 in 85.5 overs ( RR Singh 55, SS Durbashi 39, PP Jaiswal 4/59) trail Himachal Pradesh 625 for 7 declare in 144 overs ( AK Bains 143, PS Khanduri 117, Gangsta 127*, Amit Kumar 97, PP Jaiswal 63*) by 239 runs.

Chhattisgarh vs. Bengal ( Raipur) 

Chhattisgarh started the 3rd day on 80 for 5 and added 30 runs to be bowled out for 110. Following on the hosts have made the strong score. At the end of day 3 Chhattisgarh ended day 3 on 229 for 5.
