Starting on the overnight score of 269 for 7, Bengal was bowled out for 286. In reply, Delhi openers Chandela and Gambhir played with positive intent. Both of them showed great class and completed their centuries, adding 232 runs for the opening stand. Bengal made a comeback in the final session taking 3 wickets. Delhi ended day 2 on 271 for 3.

Karnataka has continued their dominance over Vidarbha on the 2nd day of Ranji Trophy 2017/18 edition. Karun Nair is still not out on 148 which put Karnataka in a decent position. They have ended the 2nd day on 294 for 8 with a lead of 109 runs. For Vidarbha, Gurbani took 3 more wickets to finish with 5 wickets.

1st Semi-finals: Bengal vs. Delhi (MCA Stadium, Pune)

Starting on the overnight score of 269 for 7, Bengal added 17 runs, to be bowled out for 286. In reply, Delhi openers Chandela and experienced Gambhir played with positive intent. Both of them completed their centuries. Bengal made a comeback in the final session taking 3 wickets.

Delhi 271 for 3 in 77.2 overs ( Gambhir 127, Chandela 113) trail Bengal 286 in 94.2 overs ( Sudeep Chatterjee 83, WB Chatterjee 47, Manan Sharma 2/37, NA Saini 3/55, Khejroiya 2/64) by 15 runs.

2nd Semi-finals- Karnataka vs. Vidarbha ( Eden Garden’s, Kolkata)

Starting the day on 36 for 3, the duo of Karun Nair and CM Gautam played with positive intent. Both of them took singles and hit bad balls away boundaries. Nair and Gautam reached their half centuries. Before the lunch break, Gautam was dismissed for 73 runs. After the lunch break, Gurbani and Sarwate reduced Karnataka to 225 for 8. Karun Nair completed his century, is still out there at the crease with 148 runs. Both Vinay Kumar and Nair added 69 runs for the 9th wicket so far.

Karnataka 294 for 8 in 93 overs  ( Karun Nair 148*, CM Gautam 73, Gurbani 5/90)lead  Vidarbha 185 in 61.4 overs ( Sarwate 47, Wasim Jaffer 39, Mithun 5/45) by 109 runs.
