Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Ravindra Jadeja, the Indian all-rounder, stormed into the Chennai Super Kings camp. The 18th edition of IPL is set to inaugurate on March 22, and Jadeja, who is retained with CSK for INR 18 crore, is ready to play a vital role in the team winning a historical sixth record title.
At 36, Jadeja is an inseparable part of CSK for over a decade and a significant contributor to CSK’s success. He came to Chennai on Monday night immediately after Team India declared themselves champions of the Champions Trophy 2025. Jadeja made an entry like Pushpa, mimicking the well-known hand gesture performed by superstar Allu Arjun of the blockbuster Telugu movie.
Ravindra Jadeja’s Champions Trophy Heroics:
In the final of the Champions Trophy against New Zealand, Ravindra Jadeja was instrumental in securing victory for India. He scooted through 10 overs, picking 1 wicket for 30 runs, giving an economy of 3, making him the most economical bowler for the Men in Blue. He topped it up with a winning four that took India through the finish line against a 252-run chase.
Jadeja’s contribution with the bat was as he came in to bat with India at 241/6 after the dismissal of Hardik Pandya. He and KL Rahul played at a crawl, making sure not to take any risks, and at the end, he hit a four to take the team to victory after needing just 2 runs from 7 balls.
CSK plays its first IPL 2025 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Chepauk Stadium, starting on March 23. They’re banking on his experience and talent to help them make a very good start to the season.
