England all-rounder Moeen Ali was all praise for veteran Team India batter Virat Kohli. He expressed that he admires the batter and loves to spend time with him. Virat Kohli is arguably one of the best batters across formats in International cricket. After going through a prolonged lean patch, he storm back to form, also smashing his maiden T20I century in the 2022 Asia Cup.
Speaking with Zee Network, Moeen Ali expressed he really admires Virat Kohli. He added that he hasn’t met anyone else like him in terms of his personality. Ali also said that there are many great players, but he enjoys Virat Kohli’s company. The duo played together for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. Moeen Ali said,
 “I really admire Virat Kohli. He is definitely the one, he is somebody else as a player. Virat is the one you want to play with, spend time with him. He is very unique, I’ve not met anybody else like him in terms of his personality. Cricket-wise there are so many great players, but as a person, I really love Virat’s company. MS Dhoni is very inspiring.”
We are the underdogs: Moeen Ali, Sharjah Warriors skipper
Moeen Ali will be leading the Sharjah Warriors in the upcoming International League T20. The inaugural edition of the tournament is scheduled to take place from Friday, January 13 to Sunday, February 12. Sharjah Warriors skipper Moeen Ali expressed that his team is the underdogs, and the Indian fans will enjoy watching them play. He added that the team has to fight and show their spirit in the tournament.
“We are the underdogs like I said, there are no superstars in our team but we have the fight and we can show that spirit, and Indian fans will enjoy watching us play and see the underdogs win!” said Moeen Ali.
