“Really Stayed With Me”: Mukul Choudhary Shares Insights From His Conversations With Virat Kohli

Lucknow Super Giants’ emerging batter Mukul Choudhary has been one of the most discussed young talents in the ongoing IPL 2026 season. After playing a match-winning role for LSG this year, Mukul recently opened up about his conversations with senior batter Virat Kohli.

He also shared the key lessons he took from Kohli and explained how those interactions helped him refine his game. Mukul revealed that Kohli even spoke to him about how hitting sixes has become much more routine in modern cricket.

“When I spoke to him, he told me that he had watched our match against KKR and seen how I finished the game. He said that hitting sixes is not a big deal anymore. Every young batter in this generation can clear the ropes. But what really matters is learning how to finish matches.”

“Anyone can hit a six when there’s no pressure. Finishing games consistently is a rare skill. He told me to focus on that, not just on hitting big shots. That advice really stuck with me,” Mukul Choudhary told JioHotstar.

Lucknow Super Giants End IPL 2026 Campaign in Disappointment, Finish Bottom of Table

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have endured a disappointing campaign in IPL 2026, getting eliminated from the group stage and currently sitting at the bottom of the points table. With just four wins and nine defeats in 13 matches, they have collected eight points so far.

Despite a few bright individual performances and occasional match-winning contributions, the team has struggled for consistency throughout the season. LSG will now look to play for pride in their remaining fixtures and aim to finish their campaign on a stronger note.
