Team India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, apparently misplaced his phone during practice before the third ODI against Australia.
According to recent reports, it has been revealed that Rohit Sharma lost his iPhone just before the third ODI of the recent series against Australia at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
Rohit Sharma’s phone disappeared while the experienced opener was practicing in the nets before the third ODI. This news about Rohit’s missing phone spread rapidly across the internet, as reported by MyKhel.
Nonetheless, the matter didn’t appear to trouble the captain greatly, as he displayed his skills against Australia in the final ODI.
It’s important to highlight that Rohit Sharma was absent from the first two ODIs of the series but made a remarkable comeback in the final ODI held in Rajkot.
Even though India lost the match, Rohit made a significant contribution. India aimed to chase a target of 353 runs but managed to score only 286. Rohit was India’s top run-scorer, amassing 81 runs off 57 balls. Despite his efforts, Australia secured a 66-run victory.
India’s World Cup campaign begins with a match against Australia
After completing the 50-over series against Australia, Team India is now gearing up for the upcoming 2023 ODI World Cup, which they will be hosting for the first time, enjoying strong home support.
It’s important to note that India will have two warm-up matches before the World Cup, facing England and the Netherlands on September 30 and October 3, respectively.
Their World Cup journey commences on October 8 against Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The recent ODI series victory against Australia should aid India in their tactical preparations.
They are optimistic about a strong start in the prestigious tournament. On the other hand, Australia, having won just one of the three ODIs against India, is looking to improve and achieve different results.
