Priya Saroj, Member of Parliament and fiancée of cricketer Rinku Singh, shared a snapshot from her video call with the star bowler on social media after India clinched the Asia Cup 2025. The Men in Blue defeated Pakistan in the final on Sunday, September 28, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Sent in to bat, Pakistan struggled to 146 all out in 19.1 overs, with Kuldeep Yadav leading the way with 4/30 from his four overs.

Axar Patel, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Jasprit Bumrah each contributed two wickets. During the chase, Tilak Varma starred for India with an unbeaten 69 off 53 balls, while Rinku Singh finished the match emphatically by hitting a boundary off his very first delivery of the tournament. India secured a five-wicket victory with two balls to spare.

After India secured the tournament victory, Priya Saroj posted a photo on Instagram from her video call with Rinku Singh. The snapshot also included Kuldeep Yadav and Rinku’s sister Neha, capturing their shared celebration following the final.

This win also secured India’s ninth Asia Cup title, the highest number of championships held by any team in the tournament’s history.

Making his tournament debut, Rinku Singh secured India’s victory in the Asia Cup 2025 final against Pakistan, finishing unbeaten on four runs from just one delivery. Speaking about the win, he told broadcasters (as quoted by ESPNcricinfo):

“It was about contributing as much in whatever balls I got. I hit a good shot (when the runs were needed). Everyone calls me a finisher and I got a chance today. The team has won, so it feels great.”

The 27-year-old has appeared in 34 T20Is, accumulating 550 runs with an average of 42.30 and a strike rate of 161.76, featuring three half-centuries.
