Team India’s talented wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has been hospitalised after a car accident. However, he was travelling to Roorkee and met with an accident on National Highway 58. As per the news, Pant, who was driving the car, sustained a few injuries but he is out of danger now.
However, the car accident happened in the early hours of Friday (December 30) between Manglaur and Narsan in the Haridwar district. According to the news of ANI, Rishabh Pant was given primary treatment at a hospital in Roorkee before he was transferred to the Max Hospital in Dehradun as well.
Dr. Ashish Yagnik, of Max Hospital, shared that Pant’s condition was stable and he is under observation as well. “Cricketer Rishabh Pant is under the observation of Orthopedics & plastic surgeons. His condition is stable. His detailed medical bulletin will be released once he’s examined. Thereafter, we’ll take the next steps.”
Meanwhile, the Director General of Uttarakhand Police, Ashok Kumar, was quoted as saying by NDTV, “Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant’s car met with an accident at around 5:30 am. The incident took place at Mohammedpur Jat near Roorkee … the car collided with the divider and caught fire. He was moved to the Roorkee hospital from where he has now been shifted to Dehradun.”

However, the 25-year-old Rishabh Pant was last seen in action in the Test series against Bangladesh. He smashed 93 in India’s win in Mirpur as well. He was not added to the squad for the white-ball series against Sri Lanka and was scheduled to report to the NCA for Strength & Conditioning work before the Test series against Australia which will begin on February 9.
