According to reports, the BCCI is really keen to include Pant after his stellar knocks in the place of MS Dhoni. Known for his experience and a wide variety of skills behind the wicket, Dhoni might be rested keeping the overseas tours in mind.
A BCCI official was quoted saying to PTI that, “We all know that Dhoni will play till the World Cup but there is no harm in grooming Pant, who could be a terrific No.6 or 7 batsman, who has the ability to finish games.”
