Rohit Paudel And Tanzim Hasan Sakib Clash During BAN vs NEP Match, Viral Video Sparks Buzz

Bangladesh secured a 21-run victory against Nepal in a low-scoring match at Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown on Monday, June 17. The game was marked by a heated exchange between Bangladesh’s fast bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Nepal’s captain Rohit Paudel. The incident happened during Nepal’s chase of a modest target of 107.

By the third over, Nepal was struggling at 9/2, with Tanzim having already dismissed openers Kushal Bhurtel and Anil Sah. After two dot balls to Paudel, tensions rose, leading to a verbal confrontation between Tanzim and Paudel at the end of the over. The umpires stepped in, asking Bangladesh’s captain Najmul Hossain Shanto to calm things down.

Tanzim’s Dominance Secures Bangladesh’s Spot in Super Eight

In the end, Tanzim had the upper hand as he dismissed Paudel for just one run in the fifth over. Tanzim’s exceptional bowling figures of 4/7 in four overs were crucial in limiting Nepal to a total of 85, securing Bangladesh’s spot in the Super Eight stage. Bangladesh will now compete in Group 1 alongside India, Australia, and Afghanistan in the next phase of the tournament.

Earlier in the match, Bangladesh batted first but were bowled out for 106. Nepal’s chase was derailed by excellent bowling from Bangladesh’s seamers, with Nepal at 24/4 after six overs. Despite efforts from Kushal Malla (27) and Dipendra Singh Airee (25) to rebuild the innings, the target remained out of reach.

Mustafizur Rahman (3/7) and Shakib (2/17) supported Tanzim’s opening burst, leading to Bangladesh’s hard-fought win by 21 runs. Looking ahead, Bangladesh aims to capitalize on their Super Eight position and advance to the knockout stages of the tournament. Their first match in this phase will be against former champions Australia on June 21, followed by games against India and Afghanistan.
