Rohit Sharma’s fancied Mumbai Indians are all set to play yet another IPL final. The defending champions will be aiming to lift their 5th IPL title when they face first-time finalists Delhi Capitals. Ahead of the anticipated final, Rohit Sharma spoke about which side holds the advantage ahead of IPL 2020 final.
In the 3 matches between the two sides this season, Mumbai Indians have beaten Delhi Capitals on each occasion. Just a few days back in the Qualifier 1, MI humbled DC and reached the final. Rohit believes that psychologically his side has the edge but they can’t take DC lightly in the final.
Can’t Think Much About About What Happened In The Past- Rohit Sharma
Yesterday Shreyas Iyer’s side defeated the dangerous Sunrisers Hyderabad side and booked the title clash against the 4 times IPL champions. “There will be a psychological advantage a little bit, yes, but again what we have seen with IPL is every day is a fresh every day is a new pressure and every game is a new game. So you can’t think too much about what has happened in the past”, Rohit said on Monday.
“To be honest, we can’t think about that we have played these guys (DC) before and we have beaten them. We just need to think that they are a new opponent and what will we do as a team against that opponent”, The MI skipper added.
Meanwhile, there’s no denying that MI has dominated DC in this season. All their victories against them have come with a massive margin and they will be the odds on favourites in the IPL final. The summit clash of IPL 2020 will begin at 7:30 IST tomorrow and will be played at Dubai International stadium.
